Hi!
What about a special feature  to make destination paths a function of file specs, for example:

FileSpecs             DestinationPaths
*.*                       C:\UT2003\%EXT

where %EXT is the extension of the file to sort every file by extension or:

FileSpecs             DestinationPaths
*.*                       C:\UT2003\%FN[n]

with n=1,2,3... (default n=1) to sort every file by first n characters of the file name.

That is a simple request.
Your program is useful anyway!
Thank you!

Hi,

I would like to second Mike's suggestion and add the following to it:
It would be great if you could send files of one filetype to different directories, depending on the first n characters of the name or the name up to a character/string you specify.

Examples
DOC:
"Fax to friend.doc" -> rule: d:\documents\[N3]*.doc -> file will be put in the first match with the same first 3 letters, i.e. d:\document\fax\
"Fax to university.doc" -> the same
"Letter to university.doc" -> d:\document\letters\ (because the first 3 letters of file and directory match)

MP3:
Madonna - Like a prayer.mp3 -> rule: d:\music\[N* -]*.mp3 -> d:\music\Madonna\ (because the letters of the file and the directory match up to the " -" (space dash))
Van Halen - Jump.mp3 -> d:\music\Van Halen\ (see above)

I think it would benefit the program and would be a unique feature which distincts the programm from other copy-tools.

Regards,
Amorphis
